Car Wash for Hurricane Survivors!Ali Hart (14 years old) wanted to do something to help the people who survived Hurricane Katrina. She rallied together some friends - Sarah Pena, Stephanie Hart, Jessica Mercurio, Kirsten Selvig, Josh Loewenberg, and Logan Bennett - and held a carwash to raise money to give to the American Red Cross. They held their carwash in the Caloosa Equestrian Park in Palm Beach Gardens on Saturday, September 10th 10:00am-2:00pm. Ali arranged to have the signs, soap, water, buckets, hoses, towels, candy, drinks, and music donated beforehand so that every cent donated for the carwash went to Hurricane survivors. They raised $550 washing cars, then Steven Hart arranged for matching funds up to $500 to be given by Patriot Flooring Supplies. Dr. Roman Pena added another $500 for a Grand Total of $1550 to go directly to the American Red Cross. Thank you to the residents of Caloosa for supporting our efforts!
